McClurg Training Stables

Shawn McClurg has been a horse trainer all of his life.  He started under the tutelage of his father at the young age of 8.  He began horse training for the public on his own at the age of 15.  At that point he was only starting colts and shoeing horses.  As time went on his love for the Reining, Cutting and Working Cowhorse developed.  He is now a World Champion Reining trainer with many accomplishments under his belt.  He is also a NRHA and AQHA Special Events Judge.  He has judged such events as the National Reining Breeders Classic, National Reining Horse Association Futurity, South of the Border Reining, Fort Worth Stock Show and many other events in the US and Canada.  He was an instructor at Rocky Mountain Equestrian College and is an excellent teacher for all ages of horse enthusiasts.
